Consulting on the Contestable Fund - February 2, 2017

Join us for the third in our series of events to discuss the future of public service children's content in the UK.

Event Details:

Speakers Include:

In response to the DCMS consultation on the Public Service Contestable Fund, the CMF has organised an evening to discuss the various issues in the proposals. A representative from the DCMS will be present in a listening capacity since the consultation is still very much open until Feb 14th.

Should the £60m fund be split over three years and several under-served audiences, or should it focus on children’s content? How should it be administered? What should the criteria be? Which organisations will take the content? Should it be limited to free-to-air or should other forms of delivery come into play? Is the fund sufficient for purpose? And is the fund sustainable after the first three year pilot?

This is a chance to find out what the organisations responding to the consultation plan to say about the proposals, and to have your say in advance of the 14th February consultation deadline.

The event will end with a short drinks reception.
