Dear colleagues,

hoping this proves to be of interest, I want to bring to your attention the REMIX Play Summit, which will be held in Coventry on the 15th on February, and will endeavour to discuss the state of the art for the possible role of play in Higher Education.

Invited speakers Ian Livingstone, Bernie DeKoven, Nicola Whitton and Sebastian Deterding will each present a different perspective on the issue and then engage in hands-on design workshops, as to provide participants with the tools to build their own answers to questions such as:
- What can play contribute to a "serious" learning environment?
- Can play survive the increasing pressures students and staff are subjected to?
- Is there the risk that play becomes "just another tool"?
