They going onto the curved spines of cloth covered archival boxes, not the prints themselves. Max width would be 70mm so let’s say 60mm x 30mm. White background printed with a QR code and numerical code, plus name of organisation.

let me know that and i'll see what he recommends. They put bar codes on everything from packing boxes to f1 cars so he will be able to point you in the right direction

We’re planning the best way of labelling boxes from our photographic archive with barcodes. 

Can anyone recommend a source for labels that are robust and won't fall off with time? We’re happy to print them ourselves, or consider that being outsourced to the manufacturer. The main concern is the robust nature of the labels and adhesive. In total about 10,000 labels will be needed.
