Dear Colleagues

I’ve been asked for the mortality rates for sepsis in children in the UK.  I’ve found a few things but no definitive answer.

A patient safety alert from NHS England in 2014 states that “We are lacking in recent data, especially in the UK but the mortality rate for sepsis in children is estimated to be 10 – 15%” so it may be that the figures don’t exist.

I thought I’d throw it open and see if anyone has any information/ideas before I stop searching.

Many thanks

Sophie
