Role description:

The Natural History Museum is one of the world’s leading museums, internationally recognised for its dual role as a centre of excellence in scientific research and as a leader in the presentation of natural history through exhibitions, public programmes, publications and the web.

A new part time opportunity has arisen within our Library and Archives department for an Information Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable Library experience in a world renowned institution.

The post holder will join the Collections Operations Division but will also work across the Library and Archives Department (LA). They will carry out essential acquisition and curatorial work on modern collections, assist the Special Collections Division in collections curation and help Researcher Services Division to deliver frontline service functions such as enquiry desk duties and user support.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience of working in a Library or similar environment with a strong sense of customer focus.

This post is particularly suitable for those seeking pre-library qualification experience.

Salary: £21,741 (pro rata) per annum plus benefits
Contract: Part time, permanent
