Attention mapping community!

There is less than one week to apply for the Winter 2017 term of the New Maps Plus program.  This program is a series of three online graduate courses focused on online and open source mapping solutions, JavaScript programming, and cartographic design for the web.

MAP 671 – Intro to New Mapping - focuses on open source desktop GIS workflow for web production.

MAP 672 – Programming for Web Mapping - introduces students to JavaScript, HTML and CSS and is perfect for those who have work experience in desktop GIS, but have not yet begun web mapping. 

MAP 673 – Design for Interactive Web Mapping - integrates the principles of geographic representation and web programming in order for students to develop high-quality interactive web maps.

 All of these courses are offered completely online and are part of the New Maps Plus Graduate Certificate in Digital Mapping (11 credits).  More details are available at the program’s webpage or Facebook page.
