Dear GEM members

I have been asked at rather short notice to put together a small team of museum learning specialists to lead some workshops at a conference in Bursa between 2^nd and 5^th March 2017. The ‘27^th International Creative Drama in Education Congress’ is organised by the Contemporary Drama Association in partnership with Bursa Municipality, and is taking ‘The Living Museum’ as its theme this year.

The team needs to have complimentary expertise, covering best practice and inspirational approaches in interpretation and engagement techniques for a range of potential audiences. The requirement will be to lead a series of four 3-hour workshops (delivered in English) based in one or more of Bursa’s museums, with the same group of delegates who will be a mix of ‘creative drama leader candidates, museum educators and master students’. Trainers’ travel and accommodation expenses will be covered, with a 450EUR honorarium for running the workshops.

If you’re interested, please contact me as soon as possible, listing your experience as a trainer in museum learning and engagement, and any particular specialist areas. We need engaging trainers who can deliver active learning sessions, rather than academics or formal speakers. I attach the formal invitation, which provides further details.
