I found this article quite interesting. I haven't hear of this rule but I seem to unwittingly follow it.

To share you my "work" habit, I spend the first ninety minutes of my day applying for paid jobs. Being unemployed, my first priority is to get a paid job.  Does anyone else want to show how they prioritise their work/peak performances? Does this cause problems when working with others?
