We have had the same issue.

Our VI is having a college IPAD as agreed with AQA and she used it in the mocks.

She wanted to use her Kindle but like your student Janet she didn't want to remove anything she held on it.

Therefore that was the best we could do with the agreement of AQA

Hi Sarah

Thanks for your comments, the only problem I see with the Kindle is all his other books would need to be deleted so he can't access them and he may not want to do that. We will have a chat with him, we have spoken to AQA and they weren't very helpful!

Thanks.

The illumination technology for a Kindle and an ipad is very different and a kindle, on purpose, is much kinder to your eyes - I would've guessed for a VI student that would be preferable. As long as wifi was disabled on the kindle I don't see why one cant be used in this situation, as it is his nww. You need to ask the JCQ for guidance I think.

I believe he uses a Kindle in lessons, but I don't think that would not be allowed in an exam.

Hi

We have a VI student taking A level English Lit and they have 6 books for that exam. We are thinking of downloading them on to an I-pad which would be disabled from the internet. Has anyone had to do anything similar in the past, any ideas gratefully received.

Thanks.
