Each centre membership allows one free place at our National Conferences.

Additional places can be obtained at the following rates:

One additional place - £145
Further places - £110 per delegate

Thanks for this Carol, as I’ve (well the boss!) has been undecided about the AOC conference due to the high cost and I’d heard other negative feedback about last year too.  I was looking for my colleague and I to join Exams Office for exactly the same reasons, the twice a year meetings and currently reduced joining fee, but if it is just one free place for one conference it is also making me want to hold on to our money.  It’s quite disappointing.

 

I hadn’t been told that the EBS module is due in September, how exciting (I don’t mean that really)!!!

​Hello Everyone

My colleague Angie and I both felt last year's AOC conference was very poor in comparison with previous years.

 

There seemed to be a lack of commitment, a lack of sincerity and a lack of interest from the institutions who bothered to turn up​.  

The lunch food was below par and the poor organisation of the evening meal and lack of entertainment meant that the Sturdy Army of Exams Officers had to create and run their own Quiz, such was the lack of interest by the event organisers.  

 

Of course this reflects the extraordinary 'got to make it happen whatever the odds' character of The Typical Exams Officer in her/his daily role...................

​

 

And maybe 2016 was just one of those years in which many jaws dropped and many hearts sunk at even more important and extraordinary events.

 

So............    We saw an opportunity to try out the Exams Office conference/s and so we persuaded our manager to let us join as the carrot was also evident in being able to attend their conferences for free.  However, we since learn that we only have ONE free place for ONE conference throughout the year - and many are already oversubscribed.  

Oh dear - another disappointment.  This only became clear after we coughed up the dosh to join.

 

Oh well - at least some of us who are EBS customers can look forward to our brand new shiny re-developed Exams Module being finished in time for this September  (haha!).
