I spoke to Pearson recently about this and they agreed to amend the ICE book but they wanted them returned to them in the same envelope
as the scripts.

The recent BTEC January written exams, we have always done it and I did have confirmation from Edexcel a few years ago. We wait 24 hours then give the spare exam papers to the subject tutors !!

We cannot get the same answer twice from Pearson and there is nothing written down that we can find.
