Thanks Lorna

We are with Pearson’s – has anyone any experience of this practice with this board?

Hi Sharon

We used to do this with one curriculum area for City and Guilds Functional Skills.  It worked as it meant they did not have to do the SL again when moving to Level 2.  We’ve now moved to NCFE and they will not allow this.

Regards

Lorna

Subject: Functional Skills English Query

Hi All

A Head of School has made a suggestion in a meeting to look at stretching our Level 1 Functional Skills English students to complete the Level 2 element of the Speaking & Listening this year which would mean they only have 2 elements to do for L2 the following year. (and claim a ‘spikey’ profile this year for them under the L1)

Does anyone else do this?

I’d appreciate any views/thoughts on this suggestion.

Sharon
