There are places available for our CPD session at Forest Gate Learning Zone this Saturday (February 4th).

This is an opportunity to learn about new understanding and techniques arising from research in the ESOL classroom. Richard Gallen – the researcher – is delivering a session about working with emergent language.. The workshop has been well received at several NATECLA conferences.

The workshop will explore how ESOL teachers and students can use classroom conversation for spontaneous language learning. It will look at learning that takes place in small group conversations during a class and explore how tutors can interact with learners to reformulate and improve their language.

If you are an ESOL tutor or volunteer (qualified or in training) click here to find out more and book a place. Although organised by Newham ESOL Exchange this workshop welcomes tutors from outside the borough.
