*Visiting Lecturer in Geography*


The Department of Geology <https://www.mtholyoke.edu/acad/geology> and
Geography <https://www.mtholyoke.edu/acad/geography> at Mount Holyoke
College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Lecturer position in
human geography to begin Fall 2017. Candidates with teaching and research
interests in urban geography, migration and refugee studies, population
geography, and/or regional or global food insecurity are especially
encouraged to apply.


Teaching load is 3-2. The successful candidate will teach introductory and
upper-level Geography classes, including a migration course, a cities
course, and three others in the candidate’s areas of expertise. The
successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of strong teaching at
the undergraduate level and experience mentoring students who are broadly
diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender,
nationality, sexual orientation, and religion. GIS facilities for teaching
and research are available. Must be at least ABD by August 1, 2017.
