An Introduction to GIS - Using ArcGIS (Vector)<https://www.cdrc.ac.uk/events/an-introduction-to-gis-using-arcgis-vector/> 15th February 2017 @ 9:30 am - 5:00 pm This 1 day course provides an introduction to Geographical Information Systems (GIS) using ESRI's ArcGIS version 10.2 software. It provides participants with the opportunity to familiarise themselves with using and navigating the software, as well as focussing on the skills of data entry, data manipulation, editing, analysis and mapping. The emphasis of this course is working with vector data in the context of a variety of socio-economic applications. The course will mix teaching with demonstrations and hands-on exercises. Please note, due to licensing restrictions, this course is only available to people registered at a UK HE institution. Cost: £60 for students and £100 for staff members An Introduction to Small Area Classification 16th February 2017 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm This one day course will provide an introduction to small area geodemographic classification.
