The Centre for HCI Design at City, University of London, invites applications for a one-year full-time Teaching Assistant in HCI. This post is suitable as a job share or other flexible arrangement.

Originally established 25 years ago, the Centre for HCI Design has a reputation as one of the largest and most successful HCI research groups in the UK. We also pride ourselves in delivering specialist Masters courses and running a profitable consultancy service through the Interaction Lab. The teaching assistant will be instrumental in maintaining our excellent student experience. 

The successful candidate will be expected to supervise and assess MSc projects in the area of HCI; deliver tutorials and provide other support for teaching to students on the MSc HCID in collaboration with academic staff, including marking; contribute to administration of the MSc HCI Design and planning of teaching, teaching support and the educational environment in the Centre for HCI Design; and contribute to the development and delivery of extracurricular activities, such as special interest groups or workshops.

The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification in Human-Computer Interaction or closely related subject, knowledge and experience of HCI theory and techniques, research methods appropriate for HCI, and experience in teaching and assessing undergraduate and postgraduate students.
