1.2 OER17 conference registration now open
Attending OER17 presents a fantastic opportunity for anyone with an interest in open educational practice, expert or novice, to share, learn and debate ‘The Politics of Open’ and consider what needs to be done to overcome barriers and move open education forwards.
The programme schedule will be made available as soon as possible; it will consist of two action-packed days with a choice of strands and sessions as well as keynotes from Maha Bali, Lucy Crompton-Reid and Diana Arce.

2.3 EUROCALL 2017, University of Southampton, 23 - 26 August 2017 Call for Papers
The programme will include individual papers, symposia, workshops, presentations on EU-funded projects, and posters.
EUROCALL (European Association for Computer Assisted Language Learning) conferences bring together educators, researchers, PhD students, administrators, designers of software and language learning systems, policy makers and other professionals involved in Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) around the globe.

2.4 Math gaming contest for students, 2 - 3 February 2017
Arcademics - the online multiplayer edu-gamers - is running the Arcademics Cup Multiplication Competition, for 1st - 6th grade students. There is no cost to participate. Students race for prizes like iPads and pizza parties, and teachers get access to student performance data.

2.5 IFIP WCCE 2017, Dublin, Ireland, 3 - 6 July 2017
Submission is now open for this conference, for full and short research papers, symposia, industry foresights,system presentations, learner and teacher presentations, national direction sessions, panel and audience response sessions, and doctoral consortium abstracts. At least one author must register and present accepted
submissions in order for the abstract to be included in the conference proceedings. As described in the Call for Papers, a selected collection of papers will be published as a post-conference book in the Springer IFIP AICT series.
Deadline for submissions is 3 February 2017.

2.7 Call for Contributions: Change Agents' Network Conference, supported by Jisc, University of Exeter, 21 - 22 April 2017
CAN2017 will be showcasing practice from universities and colleges across the UK on how they are working in partnership with students. We are looking for staff and students to share specific examples of how they are working in partnership, how students are working as change agents or as co-researchers to improve their

2.8 Publication announcement: IEEE TLT special issue on Learning through Wearable Technologies and the Internet of Things
A special issue of the IEEE Transactions on Learning Technologies (TLT) on the topic of Learning through Wearable Technologies and the Internet of Things, guest edited by Mark J. W. Lee, has just been published. TLT operates on a "delayed open-access" publication model: articles are initially only available to subscribers
