We are using Roche’s reference range but are using the 2.5th to the 95th percentile, which is 3.9 to 19.8 ng/mL
The 2.5th to 97.5th percentile range is 3.9 to 26.8 ng/L (European population). Due to the large tail which may reflect areas where fortification
may influence the upper end of the reference range, I am happy to truncate the upper limit at the 95th.
We will be auditing the effect of the new assay at the low end.

I share the same concerns......
Folate deficiency is very rare in India. We are the champions at eating green.
However we have faced a sudden increase in folate deficiency with the folate III assay on Roche e411.This transition to the new folate assay gen has occurred recently, so I dont have much specific
data on the percentage of deficiency.
