That's useful. One issue, which keeps coming up, and it would be useful to have a historical perspective on, is when and why was there the move towards academic credit. As I understand it, many of the early programmes did not have credit but then it became
the norm, with few exceptions later. I also recall a couple of early ILT accredited programmes at level 6.

Interesting topic - and how quickly info like this is lost. A couple more dates. I introduced - with Steve Wilson - a MA in learning and teaching with a PGCAP stage at De Montfort, in 1993. I also set up a PGCAP in academic practice at Warwick which first ran in 1996- maybe the earliest in a pre-92?

Just to add to this very interesting discussion - the ILT accredited programmes from 1996 before the HEA existed. In 1996 there were 25 institutions in the UK with Postgraduate Certificates accredited by the ILT.
