Dear All,

We are pleased to invite applications for the post of Research Data Manager to join the Research Support team in Library Services at King’s College London.

This permanent role will lead on delivering and developing a recently established Research Data Management (RDM) service to support the effective management of research data across King’s. The post holder will form strong links with the research community to investigate researchers' data needs and embed research data management into the working practices of the university.

King’s has a newly created ambitious Research Strategy to further its research aspirations – including the aim of strengthening its e-research capacity. The RDM service will work with other professional services colleagues to support King’s Research Strategy and e-research ambitions, as well as supporting Library Services Vision for 2025 and King’s Strategic Vision for 2029 (due to be launched early next year).

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good knowledge of research data management practices and policies, and ideally awareness of digital preservation requirements and activities. They will have a proactive, responsive and flexible approach to work, and ability to work on their own initiative.

Full details of the role can be found here: https://www.hirewire.co.uk/HE/1061247/MS_JobDetails.aspx?JobID=74509  Salary is on the scale of £32,958 to £39,324 pa, plus £2,623 London Allowance. The closing date for receipt of applications is midnight on 8th January 2017.
