medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

Friends and colleagues -

it occurred to me today to wonder about Victor Leroquais.  He is often referred to as the "Abbé Leroquais" and I was given to wonder, Abbot of what?

A quick google search revealed an obituary (http://www.persee.fr/doc/scrip_0036-9772_1946_num_1_1_2063) from 1946f that says the was vicaire at Lisieux, and priest in Beny-sur-mer, and spoke movingly of how he went every day for thirty years to the  BN manuscripts room at took the same seat. I learn also that he was a Canon in the diocese of Dijon. But I don't see where he was an abbot. Does anyone know if this was an honorific?  He is also often called "the canon Leroquais."

Does anyone know? (my research has not gone very deeply here...)
