Hello everyone We are currently working with a client based in central London to recruit for a temporary Medial Librarian post (3 days per week). Details below: Part Time Medical Librarian A specialist medical library is recruiting a Part-Time Medical Librarian. This 3 day per week job will start ASAP until the end of March, maybe longer. The Medical Librarian will ensure the library meets the clinical, educational, and research needs of members and staff as well as the wider community of health professionals. The job will involve managing enquiries from the public and the membership including literature searching, document delivery. The Medical Librarian will also lead on promoting the library service to users, managing the library collection (cataloguing, classification and indexing), overseeing the library budget and managing one member of staff. This job would suit a qualified (or equivalent) and experienced Librarian / Library Manager with proven experience of managing a library resources budget, and of using library systems to inform purchasing and service development activities. This job would also suit someone with excellent literature searching skills and a proven ability to supervise staff. This job is a good opportunity to work for an established and well-known organisation with a nationally recognised expertise within the medical field. The Medical Librarian is a key role responsible for enhancing the provision of library and information services across the origination. This job will allow you to develop the service further. While the initial contract is until the end of March you would be eligible to apply for the job on a permanent basis. The pay rate for this job is £21.88 per hour.
