Dear All,
The CCRP is pleased to announce the 2017 Centre for Competition and Regulatory Policy (CCRP) Round Table on
Thursday 19 January 2017. This year the event is sponsored by the School of Arts and Social Sciences at City and hosted at
Cass Business School which is 15 minutes away from our typical Northampton Square venue of previous years.
For anyone not familiar with this annual panel event, it attracts a wide range of external attendees from competition practitioners to academia
who come to listen at, and discuss with the panel members different topical issues on competition policy. This January the Roundtable’s topic is
“Brexit and the Future of Competition Policy; Key Issues and Challenges”. Jon Stern is acting as the Chair, with panel contributors: Antonio Bavasso (Allen & Overy), Andrea Coscelli (CMA), Luis Correia da Silva (Oxera), Mary Starks (FCA) and Helen Weeds
(CCRP Associate). The Roundtable will be opened by the Dean of School of Arts and Social Sciences, Professor Theo Farrell.
Please note that this year’s roundtable will be conducted under Chatham House Rules and no journalists will be allowed.
Attached is a flyer for the event which includes the address for booking a place at
https://www.city.ac.uk/events/2017/january/ccrp-roundtable
The event will take place at
11:00-13:00 in room LG001. Registration commences at 10:30, and the event will be followed by a networking lunch at 13:00
Please book as soon as possible to allow the University to have a clear number of attendees for catering purposes. Please feel free to give this to the colleagues within your organisation that you believe may be interested to listen and
contribute, bearing in mind the above proviso.
Looking forward to seeing you all in January,
Best wishes
Xeni
