Dear All

I am interested in getting some book reviews together to appear in the Film-Philosophy journal over the course of the coming months.

Among those titles for which I'd be interested in receiving a review are:

Thomas Elsaesser - Film History as Media Archaeology
Janet Harbord - Ex-Centric Cnema: Giogrio Agamben and Film Archaeology
Sylvie Magerstadt - Philosophy, Myth and Epic Cinema
Shaun May - A Philosophy of Comedy on Stage and Screen
Luis Rocha Antunes - The Multisensory Film Experience
Daniele Rugo - Philosophy and the Patience of Film in Cavell and Nancy
Saige Walton - Cinema's Baroque Flesh

And of course any other texts that broadly speaking come under the film-philosophy remit and which authors/reviewers/readers would like to see reviewed (do get in touch; I am open to suggestions although since the journal is now no longer online-only we do not have infinite space).

Reviews should be 1,000-1,500 words or so.

I perhaps especially encourage students doing their PhD to contact me about this.

(Although - and I speak from the experience of many reviewers never submitting their reviews - be wary that if you are flakey, I shall spread word of your flakiness via the secret editors' smoke signal forum and you'll never work in this town again... [that is a joke, by the way].)

With best wishes and season's greetings blah

William
