---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CIbSE (formerly IDEAS) is the leading Ibero-American research forum on Software Engineering. The main objective of this conference is to promote high-quality scientific research in Ibero-American countries, thus supporting the researchers in this community in publishing and discussing their work, in addition to fostering collaboration and cross-fertilization among research initiatives. Building on the experience of 19 successful previous editions, CIbSE 2017 will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in conjunction with the International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE).

This year, we have plenty of reasons to celebrate. Besides the usual attractions, CIbSE completes 20 editions this year and thus special activities are going to be organized to celebrate this date.

The conference is organized in the following three tracks, each one having its own Call for Papers and Program Committee:

* SET - Software Engineering Track

* WER - Requirements Engineering Track

* ESELAW - Experimental Software Engineering Track

CIbSE 2017 also invites the submission of Tutorial Proposals in any topic of interest of the conference tracks.

Moreover, a Doctoral Symposium is organized to discuss work in progress in Software Engineering during the PhD program.

Please, visit the CIbSE website (http://www.cibseconference.org/) for more details about each track, the tutorial proposals, and the doctoral symposium.

Authors are invited to submit papers with original, not yet published, work in English, Portuguese, or Spanish. These papers must conform to the LNCS style (http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html), should not exceed 14 pages, and must be submitted via the EasyChair system (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=cibse2017icse2017). The submissions may be accepted for presentation as long papers, short papers, or posters, whose final quality will be supervised by the program committee.

At least one author of each accepted paper must register by the camera-ready deadline. One registration corresponds to only one paper.

Papers that do not comply with the LNCS format or exceed the page limit will be rejected without review. Also, papers must contain original work that has not been published elsewhere.

All the papers that meet the above criteria will be reviewed by at least three members of the Program Committee. Acceptance will be based on originality, contribution to the area, quality of the paper, and ability to generate discussion. All the accepted papers will be published by the organization in a book with ISBN number and indexed by DBLP.

There will be one Best Paper Award for each track. We plan to publish an extension of the best papers in an international journal special issue.
