Hi everyone,

I have a question about the way we can define for depthmapx that some lines
in a map that has been importd as a dxf file are not intersecting each
other (i.e. they are unlinked). Since I want to analyse a large city and
I'm using a street centerline map to conduct segment analysis, I want to
know if importing a text file of end points ( produced using network
analyst in arcmap) to depthmap after importing the dxf file will be
sufficient to define which lines are linked and which are unlinked? I mean
are the end points or junctions automatically recognized by depthmap and in
this way unlinks will be known for the software? And, is it correct that
I'm importing a dxf file of the network and then txt file of junctions?

When trying to import the text file to depthmap I'm getting the following
error:

---------------------------
Warning
---------------------------
Unable to import text file.
Unable to import text file.
Depthmap can import tab-delimited or comma separated files.
There must be some spatial data.
The spatial data can either be:
Points with X and Y values, or
points with Easting and Northing values, or
lines with X1,Y1 and X2,Y2 values

But I already have the x and y values for each juntion in the text file
which is a comma seperated file. A part of the text file is as follows:

OBJECTID,X,Y
1,"573,213.556400000120000","3,367,589.826300000800000"
2,"587,520.885200000370000","3,279,301.091600000900000"
3,"587,527.038099999540000","3,279,305.637199999800000"
4,"589,484.641200000420000","3,278,173.789999999100000"
5,"591,555.806800000370000","3,277,827.862800000200000"

Is there something wrong with this text file? Could you send me an example
of the text file that could be recognized by the software?

I would be grateful if you could guide me on this. And, if this procedure
is wrong please let me know what is the right proceduret to import the map
in a way that unlinks are known for the software.

Thank you in advance.

Best Regards,
Samira
