medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

Greetings all,

WeŽve all heard of 'guardian angels' but I just ran across a reference to a 'personal' angel, and am curious if this is a common term in the later middle ages, especially in the vernacular. IŽd also like to know anything about the development of the cult of 'personal' or 'guardian' angels.
