I have a cheeky request for the list, but hopefully one that's appropriate to the history of discussion on the list and among the MCG community. I'm on a panel at the EuropeanaTech AGM2016 next week, and the topic they've set for debate is:
“Knowing what I know now, what should Europeana and DPLA do differently if they had been conceived today (and not in 2006 and 2012 respectively)?”
The question assumes the same mission (“Make Europe’s/USA’s digital heritage as widely available as possible - for work, for education, for research, for fun!”) and funding.
Given everything we've learnt (and forgotten, and learnt again) since then, *what* and *how* should Europeana and DPLA do things differently if they had a chance to start again today?
You can reply to the list or to me personally ([log in to unmask] - I don't usually use this for personal email, but then I don't usually post my email address!).
