ACADEMIC GRANTS
The British Institute for the Study of Iraq

The British Institute for the Study of Iraq (BISI) is currently inviting applications in support of research, academic conferences and pilot projects principally focused on the lands and peoples of Iraq.

We welcome applications from the full range of arts, humanities and social sciences subjects, and topics can cover any time period from prehistory to the medieval period to the present day.

Deadline 1 February 2017
Eligibility: to be eligible for funding applicants should normally be employed by or have an official affiliation with a UK Higher Education Institution.

VISITING IRAQI SCHOLARSHIPS
The British Institute for the Study of Iraq

The British Institute for the Study of Iraq (BISI) offers two to three Visiting Iraqi Scholarships each year to enable Iraqi scholars and cultural heritage professionals to engage in research, training and collaborative projects in the UK. We welcome applications from Iraq- based scholars involved in the following fields: anthropology, archaeology, history, geography, languages and other areas in the arts, humanities and social sciences. Priority is given to Iraqi scholars who already have a working relationship with a UK institution or academic.

Deadline: 1 February 2017
