About You

A first class communicator with the ability to build relationships, influence and collaborate. An experienced leader who has successfully managed services and projects with experience of designing and delivering learner support/training to different groups.

With your sound knowledge of health information resources you will be able to represent the service including at external events and networks. Strong IT skills are essential and it is desirable that you will appreciate issues affecting NHS and HE library services.

To be successful it is essential that you are willing to travel as while you will normally be based at the Aintree Campus, you will also work with NHS colleagues across North Mersey, attending meetings and training delivery. Visits to the Edge Hill Ormskirk campus will also be required.

About the Role

You will manage and develop an effective Information service in order to support the information needs of two NHS trusts and Edge Hill University, providing a professional service directly to medical, nursing and other staff of the partner trusts.

Planning, coordinating and delivering information skills training will be a regular activity and opportunities exist to contribute to new projects and developments within Academic Support.

A key part of the role will be to market, promote and evaluate library services, including the development of web pages and measuring impact.
