If you are travelling to the NSGG Archaeological Geophysics meeting in London next week unfortunately some London transport options on the 6th and 7th December will be affected by industrial action. The affected services are Southern Rail (from 00:01 on 6th to 23:59 on 7th) which operates train services from the south and southeast of London and two London Underground lines (24 hours from 9:30pm on 6th): The Piccadilly and Hammersmith and City lines.

I hope that disruption to most people’s journeys will not be too severe. The two underground strikes only begin after the meeting has finished at 21:30 in the evening. The Southern Rail strike is all day but should only affect people travelling into London from the southeast (Surrey, Sussex and Kent). Sam Toon and I have put some links with more information for the routes most likely to be affected at bottom of the NSGG meetings page: www.nsgg.org.uk/meetings

Regards,
Paul Linford
