Dear Niels Bergsland,

Thanks your suggestions and for highlighting my mistake.
Thank you very much.

Hi, indeed, the output is "#voxels volume", where volume is in mm3.

However, your conversion is wrong, 3 cmm^3 corresponds to 3000mm3, not 30mm3.

So if the segmentation itself looks visually okay, then I would say your numbers are as expected.

Dear Niels Bergsland,
Thank you for your reply. Could please help me to understand the value which I got? first number of the output is the number of voxels and the second is the volume in mm3. i.e.3635.944519 mm3 for left hippocampus alone? Normal hippocampal volume is around 3 to 3.5 cmm3 (30 - 35 mm3). Why I am getting such higher value (3635.944519 mm3)? Please give suggestion.

Thanks
Ramesh

Hi - that looks fine but you should also visually check the segmentation,

Dear Experts,

I have performed T1 image segmentation for sub-cortical structures by using FISRT tool. Then using fslstats left hippocampus volume was extracted, which is given below. Please give your suggestion whether this step is correct or is there any other steps?

[fsl@fslvm6 aju]$ run_first_all -i aju_t1.nii.gz -o aju
[fsl@fslvm6 aju]$ cat aju.logs/*.e*

[fsl@fslvm6 aju]$ fslstats aju_all_fast_firstseg.nii.gz -l 16.5 -u 17.5 -V
3636 3635.944519

Regards
Ramesh
