I'd like to draw your attention to an upcoming symposium, entitled Open Cultural Data, taking place on 25th November 2016 at Birkbeck, University of London.

The event is hosted by the Vasari Research Centre for Art and Technology and the Birkbeck Centre for Technology and Publishing, and will serve as a forum in which past and present approaches to digitisation initiatives brought about by UK institutions can be reflected upon. It will also be an opportunity to look ahead and discuss upcoming developments in the field.. 

The symposium is free to attend.
