Hi Ciaran,

 

Two questions:

 

Do you currently tell customers where their data is being stored e.g. on an ORACLE database, if not why do you need to tell them if it is changing to a cloud-based system?

 

Secondly do your customers have a choice – if they do not give “consent” will they still be able to use the services you are providing?

I’m currently in the process of drafting privacy/consent statements for customer information being stored in cloud-based systems.

 

Would be grateful if anyone is willing to share their experiences or provide any tips on this area.
