Dear colleagues, students and friends

We are delighted to announce that the 13th Trans-Tasman Conference in Community Psychology will take place in Melbourne in April next year, co-hosted by the APS College of Community Psychologists and Victoria University.

The organising committee invites submissions in a range of formats by Friday 16 December 2016 - details in the attached flyer.

The specific focus of the conference is to revisit the critical foundations of community psychology to promote critical reflexivity and identify opportunities for change. Issues might include Indigenous sovereignty, global migration, climate change, gender identity, social determinants of health, psychology and neoliberalism, is community psychology really critical?... Student submissions are particularly welcome.

A special edition of the Australian Community Psychologist is planned to emerge from this conference. Following the initial submission and review of abstracts, presenters accepted will have the option of submitting full papers by the end of March for peer review, with provision for authors to revise after the conference in line with their presentation.

Email enquiries and abstracts by Friday 16 December  to: [log in to unmask]

Please forward this to anyone you know who might be interested, it is not only open to psychologists or APS members.

And even if you don't want to submit an abstract - remember to save the date! Come join us at what should be an engaging conference, stay on until Anzac Day and enjoy Victoria in autumn!

Kind regards,
