Reminder CSAS seminar The Indian National Movement, Thursday 3rd November, 12.00 – 13.00pm, S1 Seminar Room, Alison Richard Building, 7 West Road, Cambridge, CB3 9DT. Abstract: This seminar explores several key visual records of the Indian National Movement. Images selected from newsreels, feature films and documentaries, alongside posters and newspaper illustrations are discussed in relation to rare photographic records selected from British and Indian archives such as the Centre of South Asian Studies (Cambridge) and the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (Delhi). This talk is part of the Visual Rhetoric and modern South Asian History series, Michaelmas 2016 (http://talks.cam.ac.uk/show/index/61514). All welcome.
