 we are happy to announce the call for JOSS 7(2), and to inform all of our readers and potential authors that as a result of a combination of many valuable contributions and a longer-term journal strategy in the working, we have extended the theme of Spatial Cultures to encompass the full volume 7! While we have enough contributions planned for 7(2) to constitute an issue which allow us to curate two different but connected issues, we still want to open the opportunity for additional submissions, as well as clearly announce the deadline for non-themed papers for issue 7(2).

The call theme of Spatial Cultures is the same for 7(1) and 7(2), although we would like to give an extra push for 7(2):

"For the second issue on Spatial Cultures, we particularly encourage case studies of specific buildings as well as cultural specific traditions in housing or urban developments, while remaining open to all contributions to the titular theme."

As always, JOSS accepts non-themed contributions the the Journal which will be processed following the same set of deadlines as theme contributions.

We will get back regarding the longer term a bit later on as we finish up 7(1) which is coming closer with every day.
