Members of this list will probably have already seen messages about the current consultation on the ICA’s proposed new standard for archival description, Records in Contexts (RiC), available here: http://ica-egad.org/ric/conceptual-model/RiC-CM-0.1.pdf

 

The Archives and Records Association Section for Archives and Technology would like to co-ordinate a more collective response to the standard and will be holding a workshop for those interested in contributing to and drawing up such a response on November 17^th at the Wellcome Collection in London. Further details will be forthcoming, but if you are interested in attending, please save the date.

 

Alternatively, comments can be sent directly to the ICA Experts Group on Archival Description [log in to unmask] and the consultation is open until 31 December 2016.
