At Aberdeen Science Centre we are recruiting three roles for the STEM ambassador programme (previously STEMnet)  to help coordinate our efforts across the North of Scotland. These roles are fixed term until 31st March 2018 and are full-time.


STEM Ambassadors' Coordinator

Job Title:          STEM Ambassadors' Coordinator (x2)

Reports To:      Chief Executive 

Hours:              Full-time, 37.5 hours a week, fixed term until 31st March 2018

Salary:             £20, 000


The post holders will be STEM Ambassador Co-ordinators (one based in the Inverness and one in Aberdeen) coordinating and supporting the recruitment, management, and deployment of STEM ambassadors for the North of Scotland. They'll work collaboratively with teachers, school & college leaders, universities, Scottish Schools Education Research Centre, employers, and STEM activity providers.

Job Title:          STEM Ambassadors’ Assistant
Reports To:      Chief Executive
Hours:              Full-time, 37.5 hours a week, fixed term until 31st March 2018
Salary:             £17, 500

The post holder will effective highly competent project support for the Chief Executive and the STEM Ambassadors Co-ordinators. The project involves working collaboratively with teachers, school and college leaders, universities, Scottish Schools Education Research Centre (SSERC), employers and STEM activity providers to ensure young people across the North of Scotland have access to STEM resources that will inspire, inform, educate and enthuse them in STEM.
