Some of you will know Iain Chalmers, who has done a huge amount to develop ways of improving the evidence base for medicine (among other things, he set up the "Cochrane collaboration" which systematically reviews clinical trials).
I thought you might be interested in another of the projects he is involved in, this time in Uganda. It is using a randomised control trial to assess whether a method of teaching schoolchildren how to evaluate health claims works. A short introduction
