Dear Mersenners,

On Friday evening 28th October at the Manchester Science Festival, we are giving a live performance of Jean-Philippe Calvin's new score to the fascinating 1928 film 'The Building and Operation of Industrial Museums'.

The film was shot by the proponents of the New York Science Museum, and it shows the Science Museum, London; Arts et Metiers, Paris; Deutsches Museum, Munich and Technical Museum, Vienna.

For anyone interested in the history of the public culture of science, silent film or contemporary music, it's a fascinating experience.
