Hi Mathew,

I use AMSTAR (http://amstar.ca/Amstar_Checklist.php) which is designed for medical SRs but I think is general enough for any type of SR. I've used it in a variety of social science subject areas.

Subject: [LIS-MEDICAL] Critical appraisal tool for non-clinical systematic review?

Good afternoon colleagues

At the next meeting of my local journal club we will be discussing a systematic review from the latest edition of Health Information and Libraries Journal. I was wondering if anybody on here knew of any critical appraisal tools for "non-clinical" systematic reviews that we could use to help inform our discussion. I am aware of appraisal tools for "clinical" papers such as the checklists provided by CASP etc., and such tools may suffice for our purposes, but I just thought I'd check in case there was something out there even more suited to appraising "non-clinical" library based research.

Many thanks
