****APOLOGIES FOR CROSS POSTING**** Many university mathematics and statistics support centres are going beyond offering just drop-in advice sessions, and are actively collaborating with faculties and departments to provided "embedded" support to meet the needs of specific courses and curriculum areas. London South Bank University, in partnership with the sigma Network, is holding a FREE half-day meeting on the theme of embedding maths and statistics support, on Wednesday 16th November 2016. Places are still available. If you would like to explore the opportunities and challenges of various approaches to embedded support, and reflect upon your own practice, this event is for you: * Presentations and cautionary tales from centres already offering embedded support; * Challenges and opportunities of cross-institutional collaboration; * Issues of feedback and evaluation; * Knowledge exchange and action planning for your own centre.
