2 x Data/GIS Officer, Newcastle upon Tyne. Salary: £27,557 - £32,181pa 

The Marine Management Organisation licence, regulate and plan marine activities in the seas around England and Wales so that they're carried out in a sustainable way.

This helps the government achieve its vision for clean, healthy, productive and biologically diverse oceans and seas.

The Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) team provides effective data, information and knowledge management services to support the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) with its decision making.

We are recruiting for 2 permanent Data/GIS Officers at our main office in the vibrant city of Newcastle upon Tyne.

This influential role offers the right candidate an opportunity to help shape the way MMO uses evidence to support operational delivery in areas such as Marine Planning, Marine Licensing and Fisheries Management.

The role will support the GIS Manager and Data Manager in the acquisition, analysis, management, distribution and publication of data and Geographic Information (both internally across the business and externally with stakeholders and the public).
