Hi Sophie,

We've made fake poo before using this recipe http://www.yac-uk.org/activity/make-and-excavate-archaeological-poo - but the point is dissecting it to look at it's contents, rather than for hands. I would have thought you could use this recipe as the basis for horse manure but add straw and grass mashed up a bit. The thing is this would go mouldy, so the question is, do you want something to feel like manure, that is constantly 'refreshed' or do you want something robust and indestructible that just looks like manure?

Best wishes

Trudie

Subject: Replica horse manure

Hi GEM,

I've got a Friday question for you all!

I need to get some replica horse manure made for a handling collection - can anyone recommend anyone? The internet isn't coming up with any suitable suggestions....

Many thanks

Sophie
