> Differentiation - making it work for your learners and for you This session will introduce a range of different techniques for differentiation in beginner ESOL classes, participants will be able to evaluate different techniques and their practicality for teachers. There will also be an opportunity to work together with colleagues to identify new ways to include differentiation in their lessons. This workshop will be delivered by Phil Bird. Phil has been teaching ESOL since 2004 and has also worked on the British Council's ESOL Nexus and English My Way projects. He currently works at Lewisham Southwark College The session is suitable for tutors (paid or volunteer) working with lower level learners. Places cost £5 (£7 for tutors not living or teaching in Newham). Any surplus will go to Newham ESOL Exchange

> If you are in reach of Harehills Leeds on Friday afternoon I recommend this event. There are many points of connection with what the IntoUniversity Langscape Curators students are doing this week, and ESOL practice. An opportunity too to gather ideas for ESOL practice.

> This celebration event is part of a project which involves the TLANG team and artists and photographers working with young people from the Harehills area in partnership with IntoUniversity. We are exploring the semiotic landscapes of Harehills and using photography, creative arts and spoken word poetry. The project is kindly supported through funding from Educational Engagement at the University of Leeds.
