Dear Bianca,

I'm not sure there's an easy way to do this using SPM based tools (or similar) once you have the image in the analyze format. Unless you want to code yourself a couple of lines that just cut a piece of the image out (But it needs to make *lots* of assumptions regarding where the head is going to be... but it may work as a quick and dirty solution).

The best thing usually is generating a brain-only image only on the scanner itself. Otherwise you need to use a third-party program of your choice (some imaging console I'd guess)

Regards,
Luca

Hi,

Does anyone know how to separate the brain section from whole body PET scans of a set of subjects?

Any advice would be really appreciated,

Thank very much,

Bianca
