Dear MCGers,

The London Museum Development team will be holding a free training course, on Tuesday 25 October, looking at Digital Asset Management. An Introduction to Digital Asset Management
Tuesday 25 October, 10.30am - 4pm
Museum of London, London Wall

This session will provide an introduction to Digital Asset Management. Together we will explore the different types of digital asset and how they can be managed in line with the SPECTRUM standard, as well of the benefits to the effective management of digital assets. Kevin Bacon, Digital Development Officer, will be presenting a case study discussing the implementation of a digital asset management system at The Royal Pavilion and Museums, Brighton & Hove. In the afternoon there will also be an opportunity to hear about the new Collections Trust website, which was developed with a DAM approach, and to do some user testing. We also hope to introduce draft material from version 5 of the SPECTRUM standard, currently being revised for publication in 2017. Delegates will be encouraged to participate through discussions, and there will be plenty of opportunity for questions throughout the day.
