Yep, as moderator, happy to say that positivity and a supportive culture is indeed what we like and pretty much always have on MCG mailing list.

Don’t worry Jim - apology welcome and accepted. We all have our moments.

It is good to see the investment in understanding digital engagement

I would suggest that the successful candidate could fruitfully spend some time on here gathering plenty of good examples of other initiatives and leads for other sources of good practise

and of course should attend the MCG's conference, Museums+Tech 2016: Sharing our Stories - plug plug

Pobody’s nerfect, but the MCG has always been a consistently affirmative and positive forum, and we should keep it that way.

No offence, but there are a huge number of projects around the world which have used digital to demonstrably broaden audiences, many developed by people on this list.

I am sure your project is very special, but way to put people’s noses out of joint and demonstrate a lack of knowledge...

Dear all

Art UK is currently seeking an Action Research Partner and we are inviting proposals to tender for this work.

We seek a research partner with considerable experience of action research projects to work with us to generate a body of research and insight that can both inform the implementation and adaptation of our audience broadening strategy and can be shared with the cultural sector to influence wider practice. The preferred action research partner will be strong in quantitative and qualitative data analysis and be familiar with mechanisms for developing audiences in the cultural sector. This is a unique opportunity to assess what works in growing new audiences for a project that is almost purely digital. There is a dearth of projects either in the UK or abroad that have used digital to demonstrably broaden their audiences and nothing on this scale.

The invitation to tender pdf document can be downloaded from the Art UK website via the following link:

Please do share this link with anyone who you think may be interested in submitting a tender for this work, and if you have any recommendations of where else we could post this tender, please do let me know.

Best wishes

Lauren
