*Apologies for cross posting* CILIP SWMN invite you to attend a Gadget Day ‘Gadget Days’ are events for library and information workers from all sectors. By sharing experiences, attendees will learn about how technologies are being used in libraries and information settings and to think about how they might be used in their own. The event is aimed at people with either a little knowledge who are keen to learn more or those more experienced users who are happy to share what they know in an informal, relaxed atmosphere. If you’re interested in technology we’d love you to join us! The morning session will be a show and tell so if you’re doing something different with technology or social media, this is your chance to show it off, share your ideas and get involved. Please let us know when you book what you’d like to talk about and be prepared to talk for around 5 minutes. Opportunity to try out different gadgets, get some hands on experience, engage in more detailed discussions, ask questions 14.45 Reflection and round up including: how can learning be used in the workplace and shared with colleagues?; sharing ideas for funding and partnership working opportunities; tips on keeping abreast of new technologies 15.30 Finish
